Community Guidelines

The essence of YourQuote community and what the community expects from its members.

Short Version

YourQuote is, and has always been rooted in its community. It’s our community that defines our ethos and all the steps we take. Accordingly, we are putting in place a comprehensive set of guidelines that will help you understand how we can work together to make YourQuote a safe, nurturing and comfortable space for all of us.

The basics are simple: help keep YourQuote a genuine, non-threatening space for creative expression by being careful about what you post, and being vigilant about what others from the community post as well. Always post only your own, original work and never anything illegal. Stay away from nudity, violence and hatred, and never spam anyone. Respect your fellow-creators on YourQuote and grow together!

Long Version

YourQuote’s Community Guidelines are in place to let us work together for mutual growth and to ensure we remain your favourite, go-so platform for creative expression, always. By using YourQuote, you agree to abide by these guidelines & our Terms of Use. None of us at YourQuote will ever violate these guidelines and we trust that you will not do so either. Violation of these guidelines may lead to restrictions on the content you post, or possibly even deletion of your content, or the temporary or permanent disabling of your account.

  • Whether it’s a quote or a video, make sure you post only original content, which means, you should have written and/or performed it on your own.
  • In case you are sharing someone else’s quote or performing someone else’s words in your video, make sure you have taken their explicit consent and that you have their permission to publicly share their work.
  • Share only photos and videos that you’ve taken or have the right to share.
  • Post photos and videos that are appropriate for a diverse audience.
  • While we are certainly not for limiting artistic expression, YourQuote is a platform for a diverse range of users, of all ages and beliefs. Accordingly, we don’t allow nudity of any kind on YourQuote, whether as a wallpaper (provided it’s a photograph) or as a video.
  • We hate spam, and we know you do too. Help make sure YourQuote is free from spam by actively avoiding artificial methods of collecting likes, followers, or shares (through bots or in any other way), posting repetitive comments or content, or repeatedly contacting people for without their explicit consent.
  • Illegal is bad, on YourQuote as in real life. Nothing illegal should be posted on the app, and if you see something illegal on it, please do bring it to our attention at once.
  • YourQuote, as a company, is strictly against hatred, violence, crime or terrorism of any kind. Soliciting illegal services or acts is not allowed.
  • Respect all members of the YourQuote community.
  • YourQuote strongly and actively discourages violence through words or deeds against anyone on the basis of their race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, disabilities, or diseases.
  • Any threat of instance of blackmail, whether made in jest or seriously, is strictly not allowed. YourQuote takes serious cognisance of such instances and delete anything that contravenes this guideline. If we deem it necessary to contact law enforcement with regard to any contravention of this guideline, we reserve the right to do so.
  • YourQuote discourages posts that glorify or justify self-harm, and these might be deleted at our discretion.
  • We understand that people often share this kind of content to condemn, raise awareness or educate. If you do share content for these reasons, we encourage you to caption your photo with a warning about graphic violence. Sharing graphic images for sadistic pleasure or to glorify violence is never allowed.
